Bio

So, I thought that after a couple years of utter nonsense, my profile page deserved some real and/or non-nonsense information.

My name is Kazuki. Most just call me 'Kaz'. Either is fine. I am a working/semi-professional musician out of the American Northeast, my main instrument being the electric guitar (formerly bass guitar). It's my hobby, my ambition, my dream, and my inspiration. I also fancy myself a semi-professional graphic artist (emphasis on the semi), and thanks to many talented friends, learned a thing or two about the field I made good on. Even so, I do have a day job. Since I'm not of the college-graduate persuasion, I toil in retail like much of poor America and American youth in general. I like making that distinction: poor, not lower class.

I'm currently in a very happy relationship. My heritage, of which I am very proud to be, is Japanese-Brazilian. Of the languages I speak, I prefer English and Japanese, but am quite fluent still in Portuguese (though my written skill has declined as of late).

My interests are playing music, going to and playing shows, reading and writing (I've since my early years been an avid SF fan), as well as visual arts. All the sorts of things people stereotype us musician sorts. As such, one of my favorite (and probably most expensive of) hobbies is acquiring choice pro music gear. I've been putting together a music blog, you can check it out over here. Don't be surprised though if I rant here about music. My all time favorite band, if you're curious, is probably X JAPAN (largely thanks to my old lady). Dir en grey is also one of my huge favorites. I'm an old school 80s/90s visual rock guy, go firgure. I'm also an aficionado of American and British classic rock (especially British metal like Judas Priest and Black Sabbath).

I'm a generally cynical, derisive, and sarcastic guy, but I mean well. Mostly.
